Candle Care
The first burn
Burn the candle until the wax melts across the entire surface up to the sides of the vessel. This will prevent tunnelling of the wax, and create an even burn for the duration of the candles ‘life’.
Trim your wicks
Before re-lighting your candle, always trim the wick to approximately 0.5cm. You can do this by using a candle trimmer or a pair of scissors. This will reduce smoking, soot and ‘mushrooming’ of the wick.
4 hour burn time
To prevent the candle overheating, do not burn for longer than 4 hours at a time.
Handle soot
If the glass becomes blackened while burning, extinguish the candle, allow to cool and clean with a dry paper towel.
Maximise your scent throw
Open windows and doors will disperse the scent and lessen the concentration of the candle. For maximum fragrance throw, keep windows and doors closed and burn candle in desired space for 30 minutes before entering.
